BESPOKE JOINERY
Descant Ltd covers all areas of bespoke joinery manufacture, from large items such as exterior cladding, shop fronts, bars and reception desks, down to much smaller, simpler items, such as skirtings and facings, and most things in between, including shelving & storage units, bi-fold door systems and glazed screens.
Using a combination of traditional skills and state-of-the-art technology, we manufacture to the highest of standards, paying meticulous attention to detail to ensure your product is just right.

DOORS
Doors and doorsets are another of Descant Ltds specialties. We offer an extensive range of standard and bespoke doors, which can be supplied as blanks, or fully prepared with furniture and frames. These are suitable for both domestic and commercial purposes and can be manufactured to conform to regulations as required.
With solid or glazed door blanks available from many of the leading manufacturers, such as Jeldwen, Premdor, Luvipol and Vicaima, we are certain to find you the right door to suit your budget and specification.
All of our doors can be supplied as door only for use in a pre-existing frame. Alternatively, if you need the complete package, we can supply pre-hung doorkits, in which we manufacture the frames, machine the doors and supply & fit the door furniture, including- for example- hinges, handles, locks and closers.
Our internal doors can even be supplied with finishings to match, including the facings supplied pre-fitted to one side of the doorkit. We can also offer FD30 and FD60 fire ratings on internal doors should it be required.
Our external doors can also be supplied glazed or unglazed, with or without ironmongery, and can be complimented with sidelights to suit your requirements. We can also manufacture external flat entrance doors for housebuilders & developers.

SHOPFITTING & OFFICE FIT-OUTS
Descant Ltd can offer a complete service for all your shopfitting and office fit-out requirements, from design stage to project completion, including accurate on-site measurements, quality bespoke manufacture, factory finishing and professional installation.

SOLID SURFACES
Descant Ltd are experienced in the use of various solid surfaces including Trespa®, Corian®, Formica® and Staron®. These materials can be incorporated into almost any joinery product where required, and are practical, versatile and hygienic.
Solid surfaces can be used for almost any purpose and have many applications, including worktops, splashbacks, bar and counter tops, reception desks, toilet cubicles, signage and countless others.
They can be used in both domestic and commercial settings and offer many benefits over more traditional materials. Some of the benefits of the solid surfaces we offer are listed below:
•Versatile- The surfaces are available in many colours, textures and finishes. Both their ability to be machined like timber and their thermo-formable properties mean they can be cut, moulded, formed or bonded to almost any shape, and any scratches or chips that may appear over time can easily be sanded out.
•Stain resistant- As the surfaces are non-porous, they are not susceptible to staining or moisture, therefore are easily cleaned and maintained.
•Hygienic- The non-porous nature of the surfaces prevents the growth of bacteria. Additionally, there are minimal joins- any of which are almost imperceptible- therefore there are no gaps in which germs can hide.
•Durable- The solid surfaces are resistant to surface wear, impact, heat and humidity, making them an ideal choice for long-lasting performance.

WINDOWS
Descant Ltd can offer you a wide range of timber windows in many designs, including sash and case, tilt and turn, top turn, side slide and casement. We can even cater to windows of a more bespoke nature, including non-standard sizes or round windows.
Each type of window can be supplied frame only, single glazed or double glazed, with the option to select from a variety of different styles for items such as hinges, handles and locks. If you have specific glazing or window furniture requirement, please ask and we will try and accommodate.
All window options can be made from almost any timber you desire, in softwood or hardwood, and can be factory finished in our in-house paintshop to either a lacquer or paint finish. Please visit our pre-finishing page to find out more about the various finishes we can offer you.
INSTALLATION
Another benefit of working with Descant Ltd is that we offer an installation service with all of our products. We have our own fleet of vehicles and all work is carried out by our own staff, all of whom are experienced, specialist joiners.
The main benefit of opting for supply & fit is that we have expert knowledge of and familiarity with the product, and subsequently, are most informed as to how to install it. Taking our installation service prevents you from having to involve sub-contractors and therefore from having to deal with any potential problems arising due to damage to the product during installation. Who would be held liable for any damage and how would such an issue be resolved?
A further benefit of using our installation service is that it ensures you have a complete start-to-finish solution- the whole job is taken care of for you, from design, to manufacture, from delivery to installation. Additionally, if any alterations are required on site, you have a direct link to the source, ensuring the job is completed promptly. It also removes any hassle associated with trying to coordinate tradesmen, ensuring a worry-free, cost effective solution.

AUTO CAD
From a very rough concept sketch or from an Architects detailed drawing we can take a very accurate site survey using the latest laser technology from there we have an experienced team of freelance Setting Out Technicians who can supply our clients with workshop auto cad drawings / details for discussion and approval and thereafter create the necessary programmes for our state of the art CNC woodworking machinery.
Using the latest software material orders, component cutting lists and full sized technical details can be provided and any amendments / alterations to either specifications and / or dimensions can be quickly and accurately changed at the touch of a button.
Technical advice on the correct and proper use of materials including alternatives is also provided along with the opportunity to select / hand pick veneers for bespoke wall panelling, reception desks etc, we have in the past offered this service for a small bespoke reception desk up to hundreds of square metres of bespoke reception veneered wall panelling.
We also provide and issue construction drawings for our tried & tested sub contractors i.e. Metalworkers, Glaziers, Upholsterers etc to ensure that the component they are manufacturing for us will fit.
